A client constructing a new Van der Valk yacht requested an innovative electric-powered tender, larger than standard, that could fit within the yacht’s full-width tender garage. Van der Valk’s builder reached out for a design solution that could house a larger, environmentally friendly tender, maintaining functionality within the constrained garage space.
Solutions and Results
After consulting with the client, we proposed a custom aluminum tender with a folding transom design. This allowed the outboard engine to hinge within the tender, ensuring a snug fit in the garage. The client approved the concept, and we delivered a custom-built electric tender, meticulously crafted to the exact garage dimensions. This innovative design solution provided the client with a high-performance electric tender while meeting the unique storage specifications of the Van der Valk yacht.
