During the build of a Feadship superyacht, an additional compact SOLAS rescue tender was needed to complement the main rescue vessel and fit within limited storage space.
PROJECT
Jan. ‘14 - feb. ‘15
During the construction of a new Feadship Superyacht, the client encountered an issue with the original rescue tender. Though ordered and delivered, it did not meet required SOLAS standards. Consequently, a smaller, compliant rescue boat was needed to store alongside the main tender, leading to a requirement for a compact yet reliable SOLAS tender that could be stored conveniently on top of the larger vessel.
We engineered a 4m inflatable boat designed to roll up compactly, which fit perfectly with the space constraints. To simplify storage and deployment, a custom lifting arrangement was installed. Despite the reduced dimensions, the rescue boat achieved full SOLAS certification, providing the superyacht with a lightweight, stowable rescue solution compliant with all safety regulations, ensuring operational readiness without compromising deck space.
